Responsibilities:
Circle is seeking a Security Leader well-versed in Threat and Vulnerability Management specifically with expertise in Cloud-based Infrastructure systems and Mac device fleets. In this role within the Security Engineering team, collaboration with the Engineering, Infrastructure, and IT teams will be vital to ensuring the secure operation of cloud systems, software development, and end-user devices.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop and improve Circle’s Threat and Vulnerability Management strategy and implementation
- Collaborate with various teams for secure software development, vulnerability identification, and remediation guidance
- Conduct risk assessments and implement security controls across our infrastructure
- Cultivate strategic relationships with key stakeholders and internal auditors
- Generate data-driven reports on technology risk for senior management
- Drive continuous enhancement of the overall tech infrastructure
Qualifications for Success at Circle:
Candidates are expected to possess:
- Innovative problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with engineering teams
- Expertise in Cloud vulnerability scanning tools, with experience using solutions like Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Qualys, or Amazon Inspector
- Hands-on technical expertise deploying vulnerability scanning technologies within Terraform, Github, Jira, Python's ecosystem, within a mid-to-large Enterprise setting
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise programs and reporting, including setting Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
- Proficiency with Cloud Infrastructure, especially in AWS, with familiarity in GCP and Azure preferred
- Advanced knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and cloud-scale solutions
- Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) practices within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Thorough understanding of Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite systems
- Enthusiasm for automation and scalable security practices, focusing on reproducibility
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, influencing quick resolutions and meeting organizational objectives
- Proficiency with control design and utilization for easy auditing and testing
- Preferred background in financial services or financial technology
- Ideally hold an advanced degree in Computer Science or related fields
- Strong collaborative skills, especially in high-pressure situations across teams
- Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework is beneficial
- Minimum 8 years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 4 years in team management
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification and familiarity with blockchain/web3 development is advantageous
Additional Notes:

Starting salary and total compensation packages are influenced by various factors such as experience, skills, and organizational needs. Compensation ranges can vary by location.
- Starting Pay: $205,000 - $265,000
- Target Bonus: 17.5%
