(Senior) Market Risk Analyst

The exchange team is responsible for developing and maintaining an advanced trading platform that operates globally. We aim to deliver a seamless and secure trading experience for our clients across APAC, EMEA, and North America.

About the Role

We are seeking a senior risk analyst to join our exchange team. You will contribute to the growth of our trading platform, which offers innovative crypto products. We seek individuals who are passionate about blockchain and cryptocurrency innovation, demonstrate a sense of ownership, and embody exemplary work ethics.

Responsibilities

• Implement and document operational processes related to new product listings, product parameters, and model parameter calibration.
• Assist in documenting risk reporting procedures and ensure compliance with model and methodology documentation.
• Contribute to daily risk reporting and market monitoring, assessing the risk exposure of user portfolios.
• Proactively identify and report risks, ensuring transparency and immediately escalating material issues to risk managers.
• Analyze market microstructure on crypto derivative markets, periodically reviewing and calibrating risk models based on market conditions.
• Monitor compliance with regulations, perform qualitative and quantitative analysis, undertake independent testing, automate monitoring processes, and challenge data and models.
• Monitor the development of the crypto exchange industry, identify industry trends and risks, and provide insights for future business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline. Professional qualifications such as CFA and FRM are advantageous.
• At least 3 years of work experience in Market Risk, Credit Risk, Model Validation, or Product Control, with familiarity in VaR, Expected Shortfall, and portfolio risk exposures.
• Proficiency in Python or SQL. Knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.
• Experience in database management and understanding of data structures and models.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to present complex issues concisely, and good communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of market microstructure and liquidation processes. Prior experience in a financial exchange is highly desirable.
• Basic knowledge of exchange, clearing, settlement, liquidity, and margin models.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Critical thinking abilities, motivation for continuous improvement, and the ability to provide persuasive challenges in risk management and daily monitoring.
• Passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain.
