Description
** About the Role**
The Senior Operations Manager will report to the VP of Operations, North America, and will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of banking partnerships, focusing primarily on the Canadian region, and assisting with Exchange projects as required.
This role involves close collaboration with various cross-functional teams worldwide. It is a hands-on position that requires a proactive approach, managing numerous tasks both internally and externally with vendors until resolutions are achieved. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset and attention to operational efficiencies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate tasks related to card and fiat operations
- Support the team in resolving operational issues and finding solutions
- Assist in the onboarding process for new partners and vendors
- Maintain a repository of operational procedures and processes
- Lead projects to enhance operational processes
- Coordinate internal reviews with business operations teams during the launch of new product features and engage in quality assurance testing
- Liaise with bank partners during the launch of new features to obtain approvals
- Monitor the performance of newly launched product features and suggest improvements
- Act as the primary point of contact for banking partners, managing requests and ensuring their completion by the appropriate teams
- Assist in onboarding global acquirers if necessary
- Be open to handling ad hoc tasks as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Should possess 7+ years of experience in project management, operations, business analysis, or customer support; previous involvement with banking, payment companies, startups, or fintech is beneficial
- Preference for candidates with experience in card or payment operations
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and capable of working independently
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high self-imposed standards
- Quick learner who can adapt efficiently in a dynamic startup setting
- Demonstrated capability in setting priorities and adhering to timelines
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment
- Highly organized with strong presentation skills to represent themselves and the company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and professionally
- Proficiency in collaboration tools such as Slack, JIRA, and Confluence
- Moderate travel required (both domestic and international)
