Senior Product Designer - Exchange

** About the role:**

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of an institutional platform, focusing on complex trader workflows and modular/atomic design systems. In this role, you will:

• Take charge of designing a comprehensive institutional trading platform.
• Work closely with a dedicated development team.
• Develop data-driven experiences for professional traders on desktop interfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Create a modular interface
• Establish and maintain a system of modular components for advanced trading views.
• Design customized workflows and interactions to enhance customization and navigation.
• Develop detailed interfaces and visualizations to present data in trader-friendly formats.

Research and Measure

• Engage with users to understand their requirements.
• Conduct research to identify areas for improvement based on platform usage.
• Track changes and analyze their impact on key metrics.

Cross-Functional Excellence

• Collaborate with engineering leads to seamlessly implement design system components.
• Conduct workshops and design reviews to align teams on design standards and principles.
• Work with product teams to integrate their feedback into the system.

Technical Implementation

• Work closely with developers to ensure that design solutions are technically feasible.
• Contribute to technical documentation and implementation guidelines.
• Engage in discussions about design patterns and architecture.

Requirements:

• Must-Have Qualifications
• Prior experience in designing trading or financial platforms with a focus on data-rich workflows.
• 7+ years of product design experience, including 3+ years working on desktop interfaces.
• Proven track record in developing and scaling impactful products.
• Portfolio demonstrating high-quality design work within trading environments.
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping.
• Knowledge of front-end development principles and accessibility standards.
• Experience in user research and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in creating and maintaining component libraries using modular and atomic design methods.
• Familiarity with design tokens and systematic visual design approaches.
• Experience working with version control systems for design assets.
• Understanding of modern front-end frameworks and their impact on scalable design systems.

Leadership Abilities

• Strong facilitation and workshop leadership skills to ensure team alignment.
• Experience managing relationships across technical and product teams.
