About the Role

As a part of Bitpanda's Blockchain team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a seamless integration of cryptocurrencies within our platform, catering to the needs of our user base exceeding 25 million. You will focus on facilitating easy deposit, withdrawal, and asset exchange functionalities to enable individuals to enhance their financial prosperity.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate on integrating and managing Cryptonodes and associated services within the Crypto ecosystem.
• Design scalable and clean backend solutions for high-performance systems on AWS using event-driven architecture with Kafka.
• Stay updated on the latest engineering practices, tools, and data-driven decisions to enhance system efficiency continually.
• Engage with a team of skilled engineers to share knowledge and refine technical skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and RestAPI gained from experience in product-oriented organizations, including strong familiarity with type hints for code optimization.
• Hands-on experience with relational/NoSQL databases and sound knowledge of API design principles and network communication methods.
• Enthusiasm for cryptocurrency technology and a solid understanding of blockchain networks.
• Proficient in event-driven system design, such as event streams and message brokers like Apache Kafka.
• Additional expertise in AWS Services, DevOps, AI, and Cryptonodes is advantageous.
• Willingness to relocate to Vienna or currently based in the area to join our Blockchain team at our headquarters.
