Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Crypto.com Exchange)

Job Summary

• The role of the Senior QA Engineer involves creating, executing, and enhancing comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and dependability of software products. This position necessitates advanced technical skills, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to identifying defects and enhancing testing processes. The Senior QA Engineer will collaborate with various teams including development, product, and operations to enforce quality assurance best practices and support the continuous integration and delivery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, execute, and enhance detailed test cases, test scripts, and automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.
• Take the lead in testing complex features and crucial product components to ensure high reliability and performance.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications in order to craft effective test strategies, plans, and cases.
• Identify, report, and track defects using testing management tools, and advocate for prompt resolution with the development team.
• Mentor junior QA engineers to foster knowledge sharing and contribute to process enhancements within the QA team.
• Keep up to date on emerging QA technologies, tools, and trends while incorporating best practices into testing procedures.
• Communicate test results, risks, and quality status clearly to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience (6+ years) in software quality assurance, with a significant exposure to multiple testing methodologies.
• Proficient in test automation tools and scripting languages such as Selenium, Appium, JMeter, Locust, Gatling, Python, Pytest, Pytest-bdd, and Java.
• Experience in REST and WebSocket API automation testing using Python/Java.
• Familiarity with relational and distributed databases for data validation and testing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, and version control systems like GitHub.
• Strong understanding of development processes and workflows using Jira.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a working proficiency in Mandarin being advantageous.
• Familiarity with blockchain or fintech environments is a plus.
