Position Overview
We are in search of a seasoned and dynamic Senior Software Sales Executive with a background in enterprise-level sales of financial technology solutions targeting top banks, investment firms, and capital markets institutions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in capital markets and banking, a successful track record in software/SaaS sales, and the ability to establish strong relationships with senior-level decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify, pursue, and close new software sales opportunities with prominent banks, investment banks, hedge funds, and capital markets clients.
- Account Management: Cultivate and uphold trusted relationships with C-level executives and department heads in trading, operations, compliance, and technology realms.
- Solution Sales: Communicate the value proposition of intricate fintech software solutions encompassing trading platforms, risk management tools, compliance solutions, data analytics, and workflow automation technologies.
- Sales Cycle Oversight: Manage the complete sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and finalizing deals.
- Industry Insight: Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory shifts, and technological advancements affecting the financial services sector.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with pre-sales, product, marketing, and implementation teams to deliver customized solutions addressing specific client needs.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports in CRM systems and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7–10+ years of enterprise software sales experience in fintech or financial institution sales.
- Domain Knowledge: Profound understanding of banking, capital markets, and trading environments. Familiarity with products like OMS/EMS, market data platforms, risk and compliance tools, or digital transformation solutions is advantageous.
- Network: Established network within North American banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, or hedge funds.
- Sales Proficiency: Proven ability to surpass multimillion-dollar sales targets and close complex deals through a consultative approach.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
Desired Skills
- Experience selling SaaS, cloud-native platforms, or enterprise software solutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as SEC, FINRA, MiFID II, Basel III.
- Technical knowledge of APIs, data integration, or financial infrastructure is beneficial.
