Senior Security Engineer

The Cybersecurity and Data Privacy team, part of the office of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), is seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer for Crypto.com. Reporting directly to the CISO, this role will be responsible for securing the company's infrastructure and supporting various security programs.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and enhance cloud security controls, including native cloud security controls and container security controls.
• Manage and maintain cloud security logging, detection, and response initiatives.
• Support vulnerability and configuration management programs, including vulnerability scanning, reporting, and remediation.
• Assist in the analysis and remediation of findings from vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
• Manage and enhance the security configuration program for workstations and servers.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and deliver compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with the security compliance team to fulfill compliance requirements.
• Deliver on key risk indicators (KRIs) and key control indicators (KCIs) for vulnerability management, secure configuration management, and cloud security.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in information security.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud security or vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of common security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, and PCI DSS.
• Ability to articulate how vulnerabilities translate to cyber-risks.
• Experience conducting security risk assessments.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools like Tenable, Qualys, InsightVM, and Tripwire CCM.
• Required cloud experience in AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Ruby, PowerShell, or Bash preferred.
• Information security certifications (CISSP, SANS GIAC, Security+) a plus.
• Strong work ethic and ownership mentality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
