Your Responsibilities:
As a crucial member of the Circle Security Team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Circle, our valued customers, clients, partners, and the financial ecosystems that support our operations. The Security Team oversees information security programs, insider risk management, and cybersecurity initiatives. Your responsibilities will include managing tech infrastructure, creating robust log pipelines to enhance our security tools, coordinating incident responses, and providing technical insights to resolve issues related to our cloud infrastructure and codebase.
Expectations include proficiency in working within a cloud-based setting, specifically AWS, with a solid grasp of technologies like SQL and Python pivotal to our detection setup running on Panther/Snowflake. This role will also entail on-call shifts during working hours, with occasional night-time and weekend commitments to support security operations.
Key Work Areas:
- Executing the tactical Security Operations roadmap.
- Developing custom tools as per team requirements.
- Collaborating with system owners to collect necessary logs and telemetry data.
- Recommending and implementing new tools to fulfill business needs.
- Responding to incidents, working across teams for investigation and resolution.
- Establishing detection techniques for identifying anomalies and invasions across the environment.
- Configuring and managing security monitoring tools such as EDR and intrusion detection solutions.
- Mentoring various teams in the organization on security matters.
- Supporting additional security projects like threat modeling and vulnerability scanning.
- On-call duties for addressing urgent alerts outside regular hours.

Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in security engineering, site reliability engineering, or related roles with a focus on cybersecurity.
- Enthusiasm for scalable security management approaches.
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to collaborate in high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in incident response and SIEM/SOAR solutions.
- Experience in the financial services sector and AWS environment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, and familiarity with Terraform.
- Experience working in macOS environment is preferred.
