The Data Platform team at Ava Labs is in search of a Senior Software Engineer skilled in high-throughput systems. This role involves taking significant ownership of the Avalanche API user experience and guiding the development of various Data-API products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement distributed, scalable APIs to support internal projects and the wider Avalanche community.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to introduce new features in blockchain applications and services such as Avalanche Explorer and Core Wallets.
- Work in tandem with the data engineering team to construct and integrate blockchain-specific data processes.
- Develop new services related to NFTs, DeFi, and blockchain gaming.
- Provide leadership to the team and establish best practices for maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Over 5 years of backend development experience with a focus on enterprise APIs.
- Prior experience in decision-making roles for high-throughput systems.
- Strong proficiency in Typescript/Node.js, with prior experience a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with data pipelines and exposure to Golang considered advantageous.
Salary Range: $142,200 to $178,000 (actual offer may differ based on experience and location)
