Senior Software Engineer - Custody (Full-Stack)

The full-time role based in New York at the company's office involves supporting collaborative team dynamics and innovative problem-solving.

BitGo is seeking a skilled individual to join their Custody Experiences team to assist in developing a custodial platform for businesses and customers to engage in cryptocurrency trading, staking, and management.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, well-abstracted, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to enhance the custodial platform.
• Take ownership of feature functionality and scalability from conception to deployment and integration.
• Document and expose functionality to UI, third-party developers, and internal and external tooling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement new features.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Ensure applications' performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.
• Continuously explore and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and promote an environment of continuous improvement.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine product requirements.
• Provide mentorship to peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and best practices education.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

• Minimum of 6 years of proven back-end and server-side development experience.
• Experience leading or significantly contributing to medium-to-large initiatives.
• Proficiency in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RESTful API design, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
• Advocate of unit and functional testing.
• Proficient with Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review and CI tools.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or related technical discipline.
• Strong interest and understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Preferred:

• Background in developing consumer-facing crypto products.
• Experience building public-facing APIs in production.
• Versatility in full-stack development and familiarity with React.
• Previous engagement with clients or business partners.
• Familiarity with digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, or accounting systems.

Pay Transparency Notice:

Compensation for this role typically averages between $165,000 - $210,000 base salary, alongside equity, an annual performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits.
