Job Responsibilities:

As a valued Senior Site Reliability Engineer within Circle, you will play a pivotal role in designing, constructing, and maintaining the company's infrastructure to support its ever-growing global customer base across various regions on public cloud platforms. Leveraging your expertise, knowledge, and skills, you will ensure the consistent operation, reliability, and performance of Circle's products and foundational systems. Key Duties:

• Collaborate with multiple development teams to implement an agile, responsive CI/CD platform that delivers high-quality builds with measurable performance and quality.
• Create, manage, enhance, scale, and secure cloud infrastructure and resources using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Automate operational tasks through languages like Go, Python, and serverless solutions (AWS Lambda, Kubernetes Jobs).
• Design, oversee, and monitor Kubernetes clusters for various production workloads.
• Drive the enhancement of blockchain infrastructure by managing blockchain nodes across different blockchain platforms such as Algorand, Ethereum, Hedera, Flow, Solana, Stellar, Tron.
• Participate in on-call rotation to swiftly address and resolve production system disruptions with root cause analysis.
• Develop and test disaster recovery scenarios for a highly available microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with the Security team to create and maintain security-focused tools and frameworks, ensuring optimal security measures are in place.
• Mentor and support team members in their professional growth and team scaling endeavors.

Candidate Requirements:

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (III)

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles, focusing on tooling, automation, and infrastructure on leading public cloud providers.
• Proficiency in coding/scripting languages like Go, Python, and Shell.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining CI/CD platforms and supporting agile engineering teams for at least 3 years.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, modern CI/CD platforms, blockchain systems, database technologies, data warehousing, networking, APM tools, among others.
• Strong capabilities in observability, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.

Staff Site Reliability Engineer (IV)

• At least 7 years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles, with a strong emphasis on tooling, automation, and infrastructure on major public cloud platforms.
• Leadership experience in technical architecture and system design.
• In-depth knowledge of API design, cloud services, containers, Kubernetes, SQL databases, and coding standards.
• Enthusiasm for maintaining high coding standards and code quality through extensive test coverage.

Compensation:

Senior Site Reliability Engineer:

• Base Pay Range: $147,500 - $195,000
• Annual Bonus Target: 12.5%

Staff Site Reliability Engineer:

• Base Pay Range: $172,500 - $227,500
• Annual Bonus Target: 15%
