Description

This role necessitates full-time onsite presence at the New York City office to support collaborative teamwork and innovative problem-solving efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust APIs, libraries, and services to support financial services like clearing and settlement, digital asset lending, and trading
- Oversee feature ownership and scalability aspects from inception to deployment and customer integration
- Document and communicate functionality for UI, third-party developers, and internal/external tooling
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure consistent understanding of technical requirements and uphold work quality standards
- Provide mentorship to peers within the engineering team through code reviews and best practice education
Skills & Experience:

Required:
- 3+ years of backend, server-side software development experience
- Previous exposure to Financial Services or Financial Technology
- Proficiency in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
- Strong experience with languages like TypeScript/Node.JS and SQL databases like Postgres or MySQL
- Expertise in RESTful API design, unit and functional testing, and debugging
- Familiarity with microservices, service-oriented architectures, and version control tools like Git
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and participate in on-call rotations
- Experience with code review, CI tools, and project management platforms like JIRA
Preferred:
- Experience with asynchronous programming and functional programming
- Knowledge of financial accounting systems and digital asset trading and wallets
- Full-stack abilities and familiarity with React
- Background in developing large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications
- Experience engaging with clients/business partners and interest in blockchain/crypto industry
