Challenges:

As a Technical Account Manager, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis and customer empowerment daily. Your role involves engaging directly with customers to offer cost intelligence insights, lead discussions on cost growth causes/solutions, and support them on their FinOps endeavors. You will interact on various topics, such as resource usage with engineering, tagging strategies with operations, COGS with finance, or unit cost trends with executives -- on the same day!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead ongoing customer segment onboarding and implementation efforts, addressing ad hoc requests.
  • Cultivate and sustain significant relationships across key customer personas, establishing domain authority across teams.
  • Convey value and track performance metrics/KPIs, including conducting periodic executive business reviews.
  • Function as the liaison between Customer Success and product, engineering, and go-to-market teams, collaborating on initiatives and advocating for customers.
  • Introduce new products/features and lead the business outcomes process with customers.
  • Resolve complex issues and prevent negative service trends within the customer base.
  • Develop strategies to enhance customer retention and promote expansion.
  • Establish and maintain operational controls while devising scalable technical solutions and playbooks tailored to customer needs.
  • Host success planning workshops and provide analysis, testing, and support for internal projects aimed at enhancing company tools.
  • Create and maintain clear and concise standards for data analysis presentations and communications for both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional English skills -- adept in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work effectively during 9-5 EST core hours. Flexibility is available for meeting work deadlines.
  • Extensive experience consulting on AWS, GCP, and/or Azure services.
  • Proficiency in developing financial analyses and optimization recommendations for cloud services, collaborating across technical and finance teams.
  • Understanding of spend/resource reservations across cloud platforms and benefits of tagging strategies.
  • Passion for leveraging data to drive customer success.
  • Proficiency in complex data analysis using advanced tools like Excel.

Desirable Skills:

  • FinOps Certification and at least one AWS, GCP, or Azure Certification.
  • Experience in building BI dashboards and SQL authoring.
