About the Team

The CISO team provides security advice and guidance to all OKX entities around the world. They work closely with engineering, compliance, and legal teams to ensure compliance with global requirements and maintain a secure business environment.

About the Opportunity

As a Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, reviewing, and enhancing our security architecture. You will ensure that our security solutions align with business objectives and adhere to industry best practices. Working with network, systems, and software engineering teams, you will be responsible for safeguarding company assets and data.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct architectural design reviews to align with security standards and recommend security measures for various areas such as cloud environments, networks, systems, applications, and data protection.
• Assess system design standards to incorporate robust security principles.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms, and libraries for potential security risks.
• Collaborate with the security compliance team to integrate relevant compliance standards into system architecture.
• Validate the effectiveness of security controls in mitigating identified risks.

What We Look For In You

• 6+ years of Information Security experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a Security Architect or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard security architectures.
• Analytical mindset to translate security industry standards into actionable requirements.
• Effective communication skills to convey information and ideas to team members and managers.
• Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, databases, encryption, and other IT concepts.
• Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint security solutions, DLP, CASB, etc.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and associated security best practices.
• Familiarity with current and emerging threats, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
• Understanding of security and compliance standards like ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.
• Must be located in San Jose or San Francisco, CA.

The salary range for this position is $167,000.00 to $250,000.00 and will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
