Key Responsibilities:

The Staff Software Engineer role at Circle involves enhancing the company's internal blockchain systems infrastructure to facilitate global tokenization. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements and procedures to enhance existing systems, developing scalable microservices to ensure reliable and secure APIs for value transfer across various blockchain and traditional banking protocols, collaborating with Product and Engineering teams on feature design and testing, troubleshooting system malfunctions, developing accessible APIs for seamless integration with payment systems, and interfacing Platform Services with financial institutions.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like Go or Java with a minimum of 8 years of software development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or foreign equivalent)
  • Technical leadership experience with teams larger than 4 on architecture and system design
  • Expertise in API design, payments processing, or blockchains
  • In-depth knowledge of software architecture, cloud services, API development, container orchestration, SQL databases, and coding best practices
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in remote teams
  • Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to work in a fast-paced environment

Additional Benefits:

This position offers day-one PERM sponsorship for eligible candidates. Compensation packages at Circle are thoughtfully designed considering factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and organizational needs. Base pay range for this role is $172,500 to $227,500 with an annual bonus target of 15%. Additional benefits include equity, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), discretionary vacation policy, 10 days of paid sick leave per year, and 11 paid holidays per year in the U.S.
