Our Trading Operations Engineers provide hands-on support to our traders to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our proprietary trading systems. They work closely with a team of dedicated professionals including Traders, Developers, and System Engineers. In addition, they actively engage in projects to enhance our application and monitoring framework and identify opportunities for leveraging new technologies. Our Trading Operations Engineers take full responsibility for technical issues related to our in-house trading applications, directly impacting the company's bottom line.

- Git
- Proficiency in Scripting Languages (Python, Perl, Bash)
- Experience with Databases and SQL
- Bitbucket for code reviews via pull requests
- Bamboo for continuous integration
- JIRA, Confluence
- Solid understanding of UNIX Systems
Responsibilities Include:
- Promptly addressing technical issues concerning in-house trading applications with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Enhancing our trading application infrastructure by refining existing automation tools and creating new ones
- Developing code to enhance technology stack and systems for managing, monitoring, and configuring Flow’s infrastructure
- Managing or escalating exchange-related issues directly with exchanges or brokers
- Implementing new exchange connections while improving existing connectivity
- Monitoring and documenting trading applications and IT infrastructure components
- Collaborating with developers to design new and enhanced in-house applications
Requirements for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting languages
- Basic networking skills including multicast, TCP, and routing
- Knowledge of technologies like Kafka, Kubernetes, Airflow, and Ansible is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problems-solving abilities
- Proactive, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Interest in the dynamics of financial markets

Regarding compensation, Flow Traders follows market research to determine salary ranges, taking into account individual experience, location, and skill set. Employees can participate in the company's success through an annual discretionary variable remuneration based on performance.
Based on NYC salary transparency laws, the total compensation for this role includes a base salary of $100,000 - $120,000 plus annual discretionary variable remuneration.
