Test Automation Engineer
We are seeking a skilled individual to join our dynamic team dedicated to designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for various venture projects that align with our core business. These projects are swiftly initiated with a lean team, focusing on creating scalable applications encompassing frontend UI to backend infrastructure.
In addition to our ongoing projects, we recently acquired Nadex (North American Derivatives Exchange), a renowned US-based exchange offering innovative ways to engage in financial markets. Nadex, a subsidiary of our organization, is fully regulated and provides a unique platform empowering retail investors by allowing them to directly access the exchange without a broker, trading capped-risk derivatives contracts across global markets.
Role Overview:
As an automated test engineer within the NADEX Exchange Development team, you will be responsible for crafting well-designed testing code to support the exchange's development. Reporting to the Technical Manager for NADEX, you will architect a system for functional testing leveraging your knowledge of architecture, transport protocols, and the business domain. There may also be opportunities for load testing as part of this greenfield test system initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and developers to implement software test solutions
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to identify causes of failures
- Create and update technical documentation for applications and processes
- Integrate metrics and measurements within the software
- Meet the following requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, minimum of 3 years' Java application development experience, proficiency in core Java and Spring Framework, strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently and within a team
- Desired qualifications include familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS or Azure, interest in learning DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Docker, knowledge of financial services and compliance, experience with SQL and database optimization, proficiency in Kubernetes, familiarity with FIX protocol, and experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or Artemis/RabbitMQ
