Description
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing risk and P&L monitoring, as well as operational controls for trading desks. You will be required to develop a comprehensive understanding of the trade life cycle and the operational components associated with each stage.
Responsibilities:
- Manage trading risk including real-time monitoring of risk, P&L, and funding usage
- Provide oversight on trading risk encompassing market risk, funding risk, counterparty credit risk, and trading operational risk
- Validate risk and P&L bookings, conduct reconciliations to ensure accuracy of real-time trading performance
- Collaborate with traders on risk parameters setup, model validation, and stress-testing
- Establish controls over trading risk, bookings, and funding operations using scripts and creating dashboards; develop policies and procedures
- Conduct analytical assessments on trading performance, P&L, risk attribution, and management reports
- Maintain close communication with traders, operations, finance, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline, professional qualifications like CPA, CFA, FRM are advantageous
- At least 3 years of experience in quantitative trading firms, investment banks, or hedge funds in roles such as Trading Support, Product Control, Market Risk Management, Risk Strategies
- Proficient in developing risk management procedures and tools
- Solid grasp of financial products, familiarity with crypto products is a bonus
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Hands-on approach, dedicated to project ownership and driving initiatives from inception to completion
- Keen interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
