Trading Support Analyst
Trading team: The team focuses on creating and managing quantitative trading strategies, covering prediction markets, equity markets, and crypto markets. We are in search of a skilled individual for the role of Trading Operations & Support Analyst. This position involves providing critical support for live systematic trading activities, ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations, and enhancing the dependability and efficiency of our trading systems and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor various aspects of live trading systems such as strategies, orders, positions, P&L, and risk.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for trading, execution, exchange connectivity, and production challenges.
- Investigate and effectively resolve order-related, position-based, P&L discrepancies, and trading-system exceptions.
- Collaborate closely with traders, quantitative developers, exchanges, brokers, and other relevant parties to address live trading issues.
- Assist in strategy deployments, system updates, testing, and changes in production environments.
- Keep track of exchange and market events, outages, connectivity problems, and other operational risks.
- Utilize trading and operational metrics for analysis, aiming to detect issues and enhance processes.
- Develop tools and automation solutions to enhance monitoring, reconciliation, reporting, and trading operations.
- Establish and enforce operational procedures and controls for production trading.
- Contribute to providing local trading coverage, including participation in rotating weekend coverage.
Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of experience in electronic trading, trade support, trading operations, production support, or a similar field.
- Comprehensive understanding of electronic trading, order lifecycle, positions, P&L, and risk management.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced production environment.
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages; familiarity with SQL is desirable.
- Experience handling extensive trading or market datasets.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or another quantitative discipline, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred:
- Prior experience supporting systematic, algorithmic, or market-making trading.
- Familiarity with prediction markets, equities, crypto, futures, options, or other derivatives.
- Exposure to exchange APIs, FIX, order-book data, or real-time trading systems.
