WHAT IS THE ROLE?

FalconX is currently seeking software engineers to join our team and contribute to the development of trading infrastructure components, tools, and systems for cryptocurrencies. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in building large-scale production systems, high-performance trading applications, and driving improvements across the trading ecosystem.

As a Trading Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and deploying FalconX's trading tools and systems
• Architecting scalable, performant, robust, and resilient trading components
• Building frameworks for market access and execution strategies
• Collaborating with product managers and other technologists to devise next-generation trading solutions
• Enhancing trading intelligence and capabilities by learning about crypto markets and participants
• Conducting research, innovation, and driving software engineering excellence

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?

To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in building high-performance, low-latency trading components and systems
• Strong expertise in C++ (’11 and later) for developing scalable applications
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL
• Solid background in advanced data structures and algorithms
• Familiarity with WebSockets, REST API, and FIX protocols
• Knowledge in cloud networking and improving cloud server efficiency
• Experience in the crypto exchange or crypto trading industry is a plus
• Proficiency in the software development life cycle (SDLC), including design/requirement specifications, testing, change management, and CI/CD processes

The base pay for this role is anticipated to fall between $155,000 and $245,000 USD. Please note that this pay range is an estimate at the time of posting and actual compensation may depend on various factors including skills, experience, and qualifications. The successful candidate will also be eligible for performance-based bonuses, equity, and competitive benefits.
