Job Summary and Responsibilities
Our company seeks a VP of Product Marketing to play a pivotal role in our Marketing, Product, and Commercial Teams. As VP of Product Marketing, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Engineering to define product strategies, target audiences, packaging, pricing, and sales tactics. Your responsibilities include understanding our target market and competition, articulating our value proposition, refining product messaging, and working with the Product team to enhance our offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on buyers and users to create personas and Ideal Customer Profiles.
- Gain expertise on competitors and differentiation to drive effective product positioning.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Communications to develop compelling product messaging.
- Lead the evolution of product strategy and roadmap by gathering feedback and conducting feedback sessions.
- Evaluate the impact of product marketing initiatives on key metrics and recommend necessary improvements.
- Work with Sales and Product Management teams on defining value propositions and pricing strategies.
- Support sales channels by providing training, developing sales tools, and external collateral.
- Act as a thought leader for the products externally through engaging with industry analysts and developing content strategy.
- Develop marketing plans in coordination with the marketing team to drive customer retention and acquisition.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of product marketing or product management experience with a focus on B2B tech or SaaS industry.
- Strong presentation and writing skills with experience in engaging with customers and conducting market research.
- Background in software development is preferred, along with a genuine passion for technology.
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Data-driven mindset with proven ability in tracking ROI and making data-backed decisions.
- Proficient in various modern marketing tools such as collaboration, CRM, automation, and analytics platforms.
Compensation
Offering a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $180,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package including stock options via our Employee Equity Plan.
