A demo project that shows how I clean up a broken spreadsheet. The file reported $9,627.20 in revenue, while the real number was $7,566.00. The gap of $2,061.20 splits into three causes that add up with nothing left over: returns still counted as sales ($1,251.60), one row entered twice ($309.60), and a manual adjustment left in the total ($500.00). What I did with the file: split the merged headers so every column has one meaning, converted text dates and text numbers into real ones, pulled the totals out of the data and rebuilt them as formulas, found duplicated rows by key instead of by eye, and added a report sheet that recalculates itself when new data is pasted. I also write down every change, so you can check the work instead of trusting it. This is a demo file made to show the method, not a client project.

A demo financial model for a marketplace seller: one product at $25.00, six months, three scenarios. Logistics is split through the buyout rate: every delivery costs $2.10, but only 82% of deliveries are bought, so logistics per unit sold is $2.56. Averaging it per delivery would overstate profit by $0.46 on every unit. After unit cost ($9.40), the 15% marketplace fee ($3.75), logistics and ads ($1.60), each unit contributes $7.69, so fixed costs of $9,800 a month break even at 1,275 units. The monthly cash flow shows how deep the cash goes before the business turns positive (lowest point -$14,291 in month 3, positive from month 6). One switch cell recalculates the model for the conservative and optimistic cases (break-even 1,391 and 1,201 units, cash gap -$17,619 and -$10,942), so the reserve is planned for the conservative case. This is a demo model made to show the method, not a client project.
