The Copywriting Lead’s work will span both Across and UMA. This role demands strategic creative leadership combined with a love for being hands-on in the writing—crafting copy directly, shaping messaging through deep product knowledge and industry insight. Beyond delivering high-impact content, you will partner closely with product teams to surface key narrative opportunities, refine communication strategies, and proactively address potential messaging issues before they ripple through the market. You’re someone who can balance precision with a desire to move fast and learn along the way. Responsibilities
1. Creative Leadership & Messaging Insight
Drive the copywriting agenda by applying a product mindset to identify and prioritize the most impactful communication and brand questions, independently producing high-quality copy, and delivering messaging frameworks and content assets that shape strategic decisions.
2. Content Development & Editorial Craft
Collaborate closely with product and marketing teams to develop, refine, and structure new content. Write original copy across multiple formats—such as web, product messaging, emails, scripts, and documentation—balancing creativity with clarity and speed.
3. Cross-Functional Influence
Act as the copywriting partner for Product, Engineering, and company leadership, surfacing narrative opportunities and inconsistencies early, and translating complex ideas into clear, compelling communication.
4. Content Stewardship & Optimization
Ensure the content leveraged across all materials is accurate, well-structured, and aligned with business priorities, focusing effort where messaging has the most impact.
