Test a small Android BLE app on Android 8+ — $15 LTC
Small manual QA task, no coding needed. I need someone with a real Android 8.0+ phone to install a tiny Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) test app and follow a written step-by-step guide, taking screenshots. About 20-30 minutes. Pays $15 in Litecoin (LTC) via escrow after I review your report.
Requirements:
- Your own Android phone, version 8.0 or newer (tell me the exact model + Android version). Must NOT be Android 6 or 7.
- A second phone or laptop with the free "nRF Connect for Mobile" app (Nordic Semiconductor), or "LightBlue" on iOS.
- Bluetooth on both devices.
What you will verify (8 checks in one run - full guide sent after you accept):
1. Install the APK, open it, tap Start, go to screen 2, tap "Start GATT server".
2. From the second device open nRF Connect, scan and confirm the device is discoverable.
3. Connect and complete pairing/bonding - report if bonding completes.
4. Read the BLE characteristic and note the value.
5. On the phone tap "Update value", confirm a notification arrives on the second device.
6. Read the characteristic again - confirm the value changed.
7. Keep the connection open for at least 60 seconds - report any disconnects.
8. Turn the phone screen off ~30s, confirm the GATT server stays alive.
Deliverables: 8 screenshots (exact list provided), phone model + Android version, a short text log of each step, and your LTC address.
