Role Overview
The company is presently looking for an individual to take on the role of an LLM Algorithm Engineer (Safety First) within the AI/ML team. This role will primarily involve developing robust AI guardrails and safety frameworks for large language models (LLMs) and intelligent agents, ensuring trust, compliance, and reliability in various AI-powered products offered by Binance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an AI Guardrails framework for LLMs and agent workflows
- Establish and enforce safety, security, and compliance policies across applications
- Identify and address issues such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, hallucinations, and unsafe outputs
- Implement privacy and PII protection measures like redaction, obfuscation, and data residency controls
- Create red-teaming pipelines, automated safety tests, and risk monitoring tools
- Enhance guardrails continuously to address new attack vectors, policies, and regulations
- Optimize LLMs for trading, compliance, and Web3 tasks
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Security, Data, and Support teams to ensure the safe deployment of features
Requirements
- Master’s/PhD in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with LLM/agent guardrails development and deployment
- Strong coding skills in Python (Java knowledge is a plus) with expertise in PyTorch/TensorFlow/JAX
- Previous experience in AI safety framework implementation
- Familiarity with privacy, PII handling, data governance, and risk frameworks
- Interest in cryptocurrency, Web3, and financial systems
- Self-motivated with exceptional communication and collaboration abilities

Feel at home reading Etherscan, analyzing TVL, and tracking wallet flows.
