Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development of photorealistic digital human generation, focusing on advanced computer graphics elements.
- Introduce and implement innovative animation and simulation techniques, including blend shapes animation, finite element simulations, and surface deformation.
- Utilize physically-based simulation methods for soft and rigid body deformations, covering vertex, surface, and volume deformations.
- Enhance animation techniques such as skinning, blend shapes, and kinematics, alongside state-of-the-art rendering techniques including rasterization, ray tracing, and dynamic lighting.
- Collaborate on geometry modeling techniques, such as point clouds, meshes, and volumetric data like 3D Gaussians and NeRFs.
- Develop and optimize high-performance code in C++ and Python languages.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Visual Computing, Computer Science, or a related field, coupled with industry experience in computer graphics and vision.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming with a focus on efficiency.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software like Blender, Houdini, and Maya.
- Competency in 3D animation and simulation techniques, including blend shapes, finite element methods, and surface deformation.
- Knowledge of physically-based simulation methods and geometric modeling, as well as 3D rendering techniques and shader programming.
- Exposure to modern machine learning and deep learning methods in computer vision and graphics applications.
- Track record of collaborating in multidisciplinary teams involving researchers, applied scientists, and developers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Visual Computing or a related field.
- Experience resolving complex graphics issues and implementing novel techniques in animation and rendering.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, production-level code within a team environment.
- Familiarity with differentiable rendering tools like Mitsuba, PyTorch3D, and NeRFStudio.
- Experience with GPU tools and libraries such as CUDA, CuPy, Jax, and others.
- Strong communication skills for effectively articulating technical concepts and collaborating with diverse teams.
