Assistant Facilities Manager - College Park/Norcross, GA
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect, service, and repair various systems within data centers, including piping and non-critical electrical or mechanical components.
- Ensure consistent compliance with environmental and safety regulations, promptly addressing issues and performing necessary repairs.
- Interpret blueprints and system schematics, conducting system inspections and assessing their functionality.
- Manage data center performance to minimize downtime during outages and efficiently recover from failures.
- Assist in integrating new equipment and systems into the existing facility infrastructure.
- Supervise onsite teams to ensure high-quality work and efficient labor utilization.
- Respond promptly to facility emergencies and manage transportation of tools, equipment, and personnel as required.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and method of procedures (MOPs) for facility-related functions.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
Electrical:
- Proficient understanding of power distribution systems, panels, breakers, transformers, and emergency systems like generators and UPS.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, coordinate repairs and maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety codes.
- Capable of working independently, completing assigned tasks efficiently.
HVAC:
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation systems, and experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting airflow and temperature control matters.
- Previous collaboration with vendors and contractors.
Plumbing:
Familiarity with water supply systems, drainage, pumps, valves, and backflow systems.
Ability to manage repairs and leaks promptly.
Knowledge of bitcoin mining is a plus.
Able to lift weights up to 50-75 lbs, withstand varying temperatures, and perform physical tasks like crouching, kneeling, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Must have reliable transportation.
