Overview
As an Azure Cloud Engineer in EMEA, you will play a crucial role in supporting hosted cloud platform operations for all Keyfactor products in the present and future. You will collaborate closely with Cloud Engineers in America (AMS) and Asia Pacific (APAC) to ensure consistent processes across regions. Reporting to the Director of Cloud Engineering, this role is pivotal in enhancing customer experiences by maintaining platform and product availability as per service level agreements (SLAs), optimizing performance, and enforcing security measures in line with Keyfactor Compliance Team requirements.
Applicants must be based in the UK with permission to work in the UK. The role is remote within the UK, with occasional travel to the Heathrow area in London. Proximity to Heathrow is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global counterparts during process design and implementation.
- Build and configure complex cloud-hosted customer environments.
- Maintain and enhance existing customer environments, including server upgrades and patching.
- Troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance, and address technical challenges.
- Design and implement customer solutions in partnership with the Architecture team.
- Conduct platform and product training for Cloud Engineers across regions.
- Document systems, create and update policies, guidelines, and standard procedures.
- Assist in product testing for future deployments to hosted environments.
- Troubleshoot performance issues related to applications/databases, connectivity, access, and security.
- Monitor infrastructure and product availability to meet SLA commitments.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in architecture, configuration, and deployment on Microsoft Azure platform.
- Proficiency with automation tools like ARM Templates, Terraform, Ansible, or DSC.
- Experience with Windows Server OS, IIS, and Active Directory (2+ years).
- Strong PowerShell skills.
- Familiarity with security monitoring and enhancing security measures.
- Knowledge of network topologies and firewalls.
- Understanding of security best practices in various solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience with building and supporting Azure SQL Database.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across the organization.
- Azure certifications are advantageous.
Compensation
