Position Summary:
LayerZero is looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join their innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing blockchain interoperability and shaping the future of decentralized applications. As a Backend Engineer, your focus will be on designing and implementing robust and scalable backend systems to support LayerZero's web3 technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop complex backend systems and demonstrate a strong understanding of backend system design.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-tested code to build and optimize systems.
- Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment by taking initiative and solving problems independently.
- Contribute code to sustain high transactional volumes without hesitation.
- Show enthusiasm for learning new technologies and problem-solving methodologies.
- Communicate complex technical ideas clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrate meticulous problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong belief in your architectural designs while being open to collaborative solutions.
- Familiarity with AWS services for deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
- Proficiency in backend development languages, notably Typescript.
- Experience working with workflow engines.
- Prior exposure to blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and decentralized finance is advantageous.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $200,000 and may vary based on relevant skills and experience. LayerZero offers comprehensive compensation packages that may include equity and various benefits such as medical and financial coverage.
