Backend Engineer, Product Ecosystem

Our product infrastructure team focuses on identifying and addressing the key challenges hindering developers in the Web3 sphere. This team aims to deliver innovative infrastructure products that cater to the diverse needs of our ecosystem, ranging from internal projects to external partners and community builders.

In this role, the selected candidate will collaborate closely with various product teams to develop robust, high-performance backend services. Not only will you contribute to enhancing the current architecture, but you will also take part in designing and implementing a cloud platform that accelerates application development on Aptos. Your responsibilities will involve creating data APIs, low-latency high-throughput services for blockchain operations, an identity management system, and more.

This position is situated in our Palo Alto, CA office.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and reliable services to pave the way for millions of users to transition to Web3 and Aptos effectively.
• Collaborate with diverse teams across the organization and ecosystem to facilitate the scaling of their projects.
• Ensure the unwavering reliability and top-notch user experience of all externally facing technical components.
• Uphold high standards of software engineering practices in a prominent open-source project.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in industry experience showcasing proficiency in crafting high-quality code and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in a low-level programming language like Rust, C/C++.
• Experience in building backend systems and scaling high-throughput applications.
• Exposure to developing user-centric products.
• Familiarity with Python or Typescript.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS, or GCS.
• Passion for continuous improvement and innovation in infrastructure development.

Salary Range

The base salary for this position is between $150k and $250k annually.
