Backend Operations Support Engineer (Card) - Day/Night Shift
We are in search of a dedicated individual to join our team. Your role will involve designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for a variety of venture projects. These projects are closely aligned with our core businesses and are rapidly launched with a lean team. You will play a key role in designing various components for scalable applications, encompassing both frontend UI and backend infrastructure.
Job Duty and Responsibility:
Operation Development and Testing
Engage in requirements analysis, system design, and contribute to development tasks within the technical team.
Develop and refine integration tests to ensure software robustness and reliability.
Establish strong relationships with various operational teams to continually enhance operational efficiency.
Customer Support and Problem Resolution
Serve as the primary technical contact for addressing issues in the production of the project.
Actively address user issues, conduct root cause analyses of problems, and implement effective solutions.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of relevant business services to promptly analyze problems and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues efficiently.
System Reliability and Maintenance
Collaborate with the SRE team to establish effective monitoring and alerting mechanisms for early issue detection in the production environment.
Develop plans for system upgrades and optimizations to enhance performance and reliability.
Coordinate with the infrastructure and SRE teams to troubleshoot system failures and minimize downtime impact on users.
Timezone & Shift
Flexibility required to work shifts covering both Asia and EST timezones, including day/night shifts based on operational needs.
Requirements
- Possess knowledge of payment card domain.
- Experience in DevOps, particularly with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in a Linux environment and associated support tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems.
- Knowledge of GitOps with ArgoCD is a plus.
- Proficiency in shell scripting, Ruby, Golang, and SQL technologies is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive issue identification approach.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage concurrent projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin; Cantonese proficiency is preferred.
- Display a proactive and positive attitude towards challenges.
- Desired skills include experience with version control systems and process automation.
