Backend Operations Support Engineer (Card) - Day/Night Shift
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team dedicated to designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for a variety of innovative projects that are closely related to our core businesses. You will play an active role in crafting components for scalable applications, spanning from frontend interfaces to backend infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Operation Development and Testing:
Engage in requirements analysis, system design, and development tasks within the technical team.
Develop and refine integration tests to ensure software robustness.
Cultivate strong relationships with various operation teams to enhance operational efficiency.
Customer Support and Problem Resolution:
Serve as the primary technical contact for troubleshooting issues in the live environment.
Address user queries promptly and effectively.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of services related to derivs trading to swiftly resolve issues.
Analyze and transform encountered problems into business requirements for product improvement.
System Reliability and Maintenance:
Collaborate with the SRE team to establish effective monitoring mechanisms.
Propose optimization plans to enhance system reliability and performance.
Coordinate with relevant teams to diagnose and mitigate system failures swiftly.
Work Schedule: Flexibility required for shifts covering Asian and EST timezones based on operational needs.
Requirements:
- Knowledge in payment card domain.
- Experience in DevOps, specifically with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in a Linux environment and relevant support tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems.
- Experience in GitOps with ArgoCD is beneficial.
- Proficiency in shell scripting, Ruby, Golang, and SQL is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and proactive issue identification abilities.
- Detail-oriented with multitasking capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
- Proactive and positive mindset with a "can-do" attitude.
- Experience with version control systems desirable.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes and process automation.
- Quick learner with a knack for acquiring new technologies.
