Description
We are seeking individuals to join our dynamic team involved in designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for various projects linked to our core businesses. These projects are rapidly launched with a lean team. As a team member, you will play a significant role in designing scalable applications, from frontend UI to backend infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
Technical Development and Testing
- Engage in requirements analysis, system design, and development tasks within the technical team.
- Author and refine integration tests to ensure software robustness and reliability.
- Establish strong relationships with different operational teams to enhance operational efficiency.
Customer Support and Problem Resolution
- Act as the primary technical contact for addressing issues encountered in production.
- Troubleshoot problems, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Participate in daily customer support tasks and promptly address user needs.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of business services related to trading to quickly identify and solve problems.
- Analyze encountered issues, translate them into business requirements, and collaborate with relevant teams for enhancements.
System Reliability and Maintenance
- Collaborate with the SRE team to implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms for identifying potential issues.
- Develop upgrade and optimization plans to improve system performance.
- Coordinate cross-functionally in the event of system failures to minimize downtime and impact on users.
Timezone:
- Work primarily in the EST timezone with some overlap with HKT timezone.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of DevOps experience, including expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in a Linux environment and relevant support tools.
- Strong background in shell scripting, Ruby, Golang, and SQL technologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems.
- Understanding of exchange platform domain.
- Experience with GitOps and ArgoCD is advantageous.
- Analytical mindset with proactive issue identification skills.
- Detail-oriented with multitasking abilities across projects.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin; Cantonese proficiency is a bonus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and US trading sessions coverage.
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach to tasks.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with version control systems.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes and process automation.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Experience in AWS management is a plus.
