We are looking for a seasoned Big Data Engineer to take charge of developing scalable, high-performance backend services that primarily focus on creating and enhancing traditional search and AI-driven search capabilities. In this role, you will collaborate with diverse teams to build robust search systems that serve key business needs effectively.

Your role entails leveraging robust backend expertise to deliver reliable and efficient solutions that drive operational excellence at Binance.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and optimize scalable backend services that cater to both traditional and AI-powered search systems.
• Lead the architecture of search-related systems to ensure they are highly reliable, performant, and scalable.
• Create reusable backend frameworks and infrastructure to expedite the development of search and AI products.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists and AI engineers to enable LLM-powered search, ranking, and agent capabilities.
• Constantly enhance search performance, encompassing indexing, retrieval, ranking, and latency optimization.
• Transform business requirements into scalable search solutions.
• Execute and deliver outcomes effectively in complex or evolving circumstances.

Requirements

• Possession of 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Experience in designing and constructing large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with various search technologies like Elasticsearch, vector search, or hybrid retrieval is advantageous.
• Exposure to big data processing frameworks such as Flink or Spark for real-time or batch data processing.
• Familiarity with AI-powered search technologies, including LLM-based search, RAG architectures, or agent frameworks like Dify, LangChain, Mastra, or OpenAI Agents SDK.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and scalable system design.
• Ability to deliver results in ambiguous or changing environments.
