Overview
Our client is in need of a Business Development Manager to enhance their market presence in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The role involves building and nurturing relationships with local and Japanese companies, focusing on strategic business units like Corporate Planning, New Business Development, and Research & Development. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, expanding business opportunities, establishing professional connections, and creating tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
- Implement field sales activities following the established sales approach
- Oversee the complete sales process for prospects identified by the Inside Sales team
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities, arrange client meetings, and finalize agreements
- Collaborate with teams across departments (Marketing, Customer Success, Product) to enhance client satisfaction and value delivery
- Develop unique sales strategies and explore new use cases in emerging markets
Requirements
- 3–7 years of B2B sales or business development experience, especially with Japanese clients in Hong Kong and Taiwan
- Track record of engaging with executive-level stakeholders and offering consultative business solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with innovative sales techniques
- Fluent in Japanese at a professional level, with JLPT N1 certification
- Independent work ethic and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Experience marketing complex offerings like SaaS platforms, professional services, or information solutions
- Background in enterprise sales with a deep understanding of corporate decision-making processes
- Previous involvement in business development projects or venture creation
