This role will involve a combination of low-level understanding of computer hardware, high-level system design, and data infrastructure. A background in algorithmic and quantitative trading is a bonus.
At Wintermute, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and enhance the trading platform, data infrastructure, and related software, with guidance from experienced developers and traders, including the founders. Independence and responsibility are key aspects of this role, with a focus on delivering tangible results rather than working hours. You will collaborate with sharp colleagues, learn to write fail-safe code, and improve the performance and scalability of the trading system. Key Responsibilities:
- Development and enhancement of the global trading platform, incorporating real-time data capture, order entry on multiple exchanges, robust connectivity, and built-in monitoring, primarily using C++ and Python.
- Working on scalable and robust code using C++ and Python to ensure simplicity and understandability.
- Leveraging Linux platforms for workstations and servers, with a focus on technical optimization, robust system architecture, and cryptocurrency trading.
Hard Skills Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in C++ and an ability to demonstrate those skills.
