Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by properly segregating and safeguarding client funds.
- Supervise and approve daily safeguarding operations and reconciliations.
- Timely completion of CSSF reporting obligations and submissions related to safeguarding.
- Assess risks associated with banking counterparties.
- Manage safeguarding operations and reconciliations.
- Report any pertinent matters regarding client fund safeguarding to the Chief Finance Officer.
- Prepare Management Information for the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee regarding safeguarding matters.
- Engage in and oversee safeguarding audits as a key stakeholder.
- Organize and conduct training on the safeguarding framework for staff and senior management.
- Promptly escalate issues like reconciliation delays and incidents while maintaining proper record-keeping of safeguarding activities and transactions.
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Essential experience as a Client Money Officer within an Electronic Money Institution.
- Demonstrated industry experience in fintech, investment banking, or financial services.
- Preferably a qualified accountant.
- Possess at least 5 years of experience in finance, treasury, or accounting roles with a strong understanding of relevant financial regulations.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic global organization while collaborating effectively with teams from various locations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide practical counsel efficiently.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and management abilities.
- Proficient in English, with French proficiency being an added advantage.
- Location requirement: Luxembourg-based.
