As a Legal Apprentice, you will become a vital part of an experienced and dynamic legal team at Ledger, specifically supporting Ledger's commercial legal operations.
Your Role:
- Assist in managing contracts and other crucial legal procedures, including onboarding third parties and handling administrative duties.
- Draft and negotiate diverse contracts covering marketing, sales, procurement, IP licensing, and general commercial agreements with external entities.
- Provide support for significant projects and contribute to new product and service launches.
- Conduct legal research.
- Assist with disputes and contentious legal matters.
- Preparedness to support the broader legal team outside the scope of the Commercial Legal Team as per the needs of the Legal Team and the company.
Desired Qualifications:
- Pursuing a work-study Master's in business law or new technologies/multimedia law, preferably focusing on commercial, sales, and technology law, with a robust background in intellectual property law and data privacy being advantageous.
- Previous significant internship experience in commercial law.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English, enabling effective interaction with global teams and handling English-centric tasks.
- Possess pragmatism, flexibility, ability to cope with ambiguity, proactive nature, resilience, and prioritization skills.
- Capable of cultivating lasting and trusting work relationships.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and simplify complex matters.
- Acquaintance with blockchain technology and Web3 or strong interest in understanding the field.
Contract Information:
- Type: Apprenticeship/work-study contract
- Duration: 12 months
- Schedule: 3 days on-site + 2 days at school
- Commencement: September 2024 or potentially earlier
