About The Role
At Immutable, our aim is to advance the most innovative blockchain gaming platform globally. As the Commercial Strategy Lead, you will be pivotal in shaping the company's commercial strategy and overseeing commercial execution through our Go-to-Market (GTM) team. Your primary focus will be on making strategic commercial decisions that optimize Immutable's economic profile, steering commercial initiatives from conceptualization to realization by collaborating with external networks, internal commercial departments, and driving major transactions and investments.
This role involves extensive strategic analysis and will require close cooperation with Finance, GTM, and the executive team. You will operate at the crossroads of strategy, deal structuring, and implementation to ensure that every commercial move contributes to Immutable's long-term prosperity. Reporting to the VP of Commercial and Group Strategy, who reports directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the internal deals process to enhance the unit economics of the commercial engine.
- Develop and refine the commercial decision-making framework for non-standard deals to ensure alignment with the overall strategy.
- Drive the commercial partnership strategy to boost Immutable's revenue profile.
- Cultivate strategic relationships, especially with investor networks and major partners, to foster long-term value.
- Utilize market insights, partner data, and financial analysis to make data-driven decisions that maximize profitability and bolster competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies in alignment with the company's vision.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-performance settings like consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or as an operator at a tech scale-up.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with independence within strategic guidelines.
- Proficiency in strategy, quantitative analysis, and structuring, negotiating, and executing complex commercial agreements.
- Strong commercial acumen demonstrating the intersection of commercial decisions with broader business strategy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, including engagement with executives, investors, and external partners.
Preferred Skills
- Interest or background in web3 or gaming with knowledge of token economies and digital asset monetization.
- Experience in venture capital, corporate finance, or ecosystem development.
- Previous exposure to fast-paced startup or high-growth environments.
- Capacity to operate independently, addressing strategic thinking and tactical execution.
