Responsibilities:
Circle seeks a passionate and skilled Compliance Tech & Insights Intern to bolster the compliance program through data-driven insights and reporting enhancements. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in developing top-tier assets to bolster the Global Compliance Program's effectiveness and deliver outstanding performance results. By ensuring data integrity, fostering program insights, and fine-tuning models, you will empower compliance officers to make well-informed decisions crucial to operational success.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with the Compliance Program and Product teams to drive discussions on dashboarding and reporting design for AML, Sanctions, and KYC controls.
- Conduct analytics related to BSA/AML compliance controls for regulatory examinations, focusing on tuning and optimizing controls.
- Construct self-service dashboards and reports to facilitate consistent, data-informed decision-making processes.
- Document system designs adequately for all technical facets of the Compliance program, to enable scrutiny by regulators and external examiners.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data using advanced statistical techniques to solve complex business challenges and departmental issues.
- Engage with the Compliance Program team and cross-functional units to streamline the end-to-end process for regulatory reporting.

Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in data management and analytics within banking, consulting, or cryptocurrency industries, preferably at RegTech or FinTech firms.
- Proficiency in programming languages for data analysis, particularly SQL and Python.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with various cross-functional leaders to enhance compliance processes and systems.
- Adaptability to rapid industry changes and agility to respond promptly to shifting demands.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, and Apple MacOS operations preferred.
