COO for background check startup
About the position
EPASS is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team and drive our company's growth and success. As COO, you will oversee all operational aspects of our business, including product development, customer support, marketing, and financial management. You will work closely with the founders and other executives to develop and execute the company's strategy. You will also ensure that our product meets our customers' needs.
Currently, our project is at the pre-seed stage, requiring investment for further development. The team is a startup's most important resource, without a strong staff, it's impossible to launch a successful product or find an investor. As a result, we are now building a team that will be able to start working in 3 months, during which we plan to secure investment.
What we will trust you with is:
- Work closely with our founders to ensure company goals are accomplished and operations run efficiently
- Run and own selected business activities from beginning to end
- Participate in all aspects of our business activities, including investor presentations
- Contribute to the strategic planning process with our founders
- Plan and orchestrate work to ensure the founder’s priorities are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld
- Oversee and manage the company's daily operations, ensuring all teams work together efficiently
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to track product progress towards goals
- Identify and address operational challenges, risks, and opportunities to drive the company's success
- Conduct financial data analysis and reporting for the company, management and shareholders
Your profile:
- Experience as a COO or ED in a tech startup (or something very similar to that in terms of responsibilities)
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Strong knowledge of financial management (CFO functions)
- Experience with operating model implementation, ideally in a tech product organization
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- You are dependable, disciplined, and detail-oriented
- Outstanding executive and communication skills
Qualifications (nice-to-haves):
- Experience from fundraising work at a previous start-up
- International experience
- Proven track record of leading teams in startups
