We are looking for a Data Analyst – Energy Analytics to join our expanding team. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for gathering, cleaning, and organizing energy consumption and operational data within our data center operations. Your primary tasks will involve preparing high-quality datasets, conducting data analysis, and aiding in the automation of workflows for actionable operational insights and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, verify, and structure energy consumption and operational data from various internal and external sources.
- Develop and manage organized datasets to facilitate energy reporting and operational analytics.
- Analyze data to detect patterns, derive valuable insights, and generate routine performance reports.
- Assist in automating data collection, transformation, and loading procedures.
- Collaborate with different teams to comprehend data requirements and deliver precise, timely analyses.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation for data workflows, processes, and reporting standards.
- Aid in designing and preserving dashboards and basic visualizations for communicating energy performance metrics.
- Perform any additional assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting, including pivot tables, charts, and advanced formulas.
- Basic to intermediate level skills in SQL for querying, joining, and filtering datasets.
- Basic knowledge of Python for data cleaning, scripting, and automation.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the production of accurate and reliable data.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and articulate findings clearly.
- Self-driven with a quick learning ability, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with energy usage data, operational datasets, or infrastructure data systems.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) or relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL).
- Proficiency in data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
- Exposure to data transformation tools or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with Bitcoin mining operations, mining hardware metrics (e.g., hashrate, efficiency), or blockchain network data.
- Understanding of energy data including consumption metrics, utility pricing, or power infrastructure for industrial facilities.
- Exposure to energy consumption trends, power markets, or energy management in industrial settings, particularly data centers or mining facilities.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 per year
Note: This position may involve duties that necessitate the operation of a company vehicle or travel between job sites. Candidates must be insurable under CleanSpark's vehicle insurance policy.
