Your Role
Join the Data Engineering Team - Business ETL division, taking charge of the data warehouse and data pipelines crucial for financial and regulatory reporting within Circle. Your responsibilities will revolve around providing actionable insights to enhance operational efficacy for core functions like Finance, Accounting, and Analytics, ultimately propelling business growth. Steering how data flows within the company, maintaining data integrity and precision is key. Your efforts will directly influence Circle's commitment to transparency, trust, and accountability.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and manage the scalable data lifecycle of new and existing products.
- Develop and maintain data ETL/ELT pipelines for sourcing and aggregating data required for various analyses and reports.
- Integrate data into internal and customer-facing applications for financial, regulatory, and analytical purposes.
- Establish connections with third-party systems to retrieve and distribute datasets.
- Enhance the performance and monitoring of the data warehouse continually.
- Innovate data storage and processing methods within and beyond the existing data platforms.
- Contribute to designing and improving a scalable data platform for data ingestion, storage, and aggregation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on financial data modeling, data quality, data pipelines, and data warehousing.
Your Qualifications
For Data Engineer (II):
- Possess 2+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages like Java, Scala, or Python.
- Fluent in SQL for big data warehouse systems (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
- Background in financial data management, preferably in related domains like payment systems or blockchains.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with remote teams.
Additional Details
This role may offer PERM sponsorship for eligible candidates from day one. Compensation packages are determined by factors including experience, skill set, and organizational requirements. The position features base pay ranging between $120,000 - $162,500, alongside equity, an annual 10% bonus target, and comprehensive benefits.
