Key Responsibilities:

Joining the Data Engineering - Business ETL team, you will oversee the data warehouse and pipelines vital for financial and regulatory reporting purposes. Your role is pivotal in supporting various Circle functions such as Finance, Accounting, and Analytics, driving operational efficiency and informed decision-making to propel business growth. Your efforts will revolutionize how data is utilized organization-wide, emphasizing precision and data integrity crucial to sustaining Circle's transparency and accountability standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and manage scalable data workflows for new and existing products.
• Develop and maintain data ETL/ELT pipelines to collect and consolidate data for analysis and reporting requirements.
• Deploy data to internal and customer-facing applications to support analytical, financial, and regulatory functions.
• Establish connections with external systems to import or export datasets.
• Enhance the efficiency and performance of the data warehouse through continuous optimization.
• Innovate data storage and processing methodologies to elevate data usage within and outside Circle.
• Contribute to designing and enhancing a scalable data platform to handle diverse datasets effectively.
• Serve as a key resource on data modeling, data pipelines, and data warehouse management concerning financial data.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.
• Strong command of SQL in major big data warehouse systems.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, etc.
• Experience with Cloud Services such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of financial data, ideally within payment systems, credit cards, blockchain, etc.
• Familiarity with open-source big data technologies.
• Proven ability to adapt quickly and deliver on moderately complex projects.
• Self-driven individual who takes initiatives, produces results, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and idea-sharing within remote teams.
