Responsibilities:
As a vital member of the Data Engineering - Business ETL team, your primary responsibility is overseeing the data warehouse and pipelines utilized for financial and regulatory reporting. These data structures support various Circle business functions, including Finance, Accounting, and Analytics, driving operational efficiency and providing actionable insights crucial for business growth. Your role involves optimizing data flow across the organization while upholding data accuracy and quality standards to enhance trust and transparency.
Key Tasks:
- Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and accounting teams to manage scalable data life cycles for new and existing products.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for aggregating data for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Integrate data into internal and customer-facing applications for analytical, financial, and regulatory use.
- Develop connections with third-party systems for data exchange.
- Enhance the performance and monitoring of the data warehouse infrastructure.
- Revolutionize data storage and processing mechanisms within and outside the current data platforms.
- Contribute to the design, deployment, and enhancement of a scalable data platform for managing diverse datasets.
- Act as a subject matter expert on data modeling, pipelines, data quality, and financial data warehousing.

Requirements:
For Data Engineer (II)
- Possess at least 2 years of professional data engineering experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.
- Strong command of SQL in big data warehouse systems like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or DBT.
- Experience with Cloud Services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of financial data, preferably in related domains like payment systems, blockchain, etc.
- Proficiency in open-source and big data technologies.
- Ability to learn quickly and manage medium-complexity projects effectively.
- Demonstrated ownership, results-driven approach, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across remote teams.

Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $162,500 Annual Bonus Target: 10% Offering included: Equity & Benefits
