The Global Analytics team is seeking to appoint a skilled Data Governance & Management Lead to contribute to scaling data infrastructure, analytical tools, and governance frameworks within the company. We are seeking an individual to support data integrity, metadata management, and access controls to ensure consistent, accurate, and fit-for-purpose data. This pivotal role demands technical proficiency, analytical problem-solving skills, and the capacity to translate governance standards into practical implementations across various data systems.
What The Role Entails:
Technical Expertise:
- Understanding of data governance, data management, and data quality frameworks
- Application of data controls within data pipelines and reporting systems
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar data query tools
- Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
- Experience in database design and comprehension of intricate data schemas
- Knowledge of data lineage, metadata management, and data modeling concepts
- Ability to establish and implement data quality rules and validation checks
- Understanding of data access principles, encompassing role-based access and data classification
- Competency in clear, structured documentation of data processes and controls
Work Complexity:
- Oversight of the data governance program to enhance data quality, integrity, and security
- Development and deployment of data quality standards and monitoring processes
- Assistance in managing the data issue lifecycle and aiding in remediation efforts
- Handling data governance platform and acting as the primary subject matter expert
- Assistance in data classification activities, including sensitive data identification and categorization
- Oversight of external data requests to ensure regulatory compliance
- Monitoring and reporting of crucial data governance metrics and KPIs while presenting insights to senior management
- Leading meetings and workshops related to data governance, facilitating productive discussions and advancing the program

- Thorough understanding of Anchorage Digital’s strategy and business operations
- Appreciation of how data aids decision-making and operational functions company-wide
- Strategic thinking and capacity to develop and execute a comprehensive data governance strategy aligned with organizational objectives

- Documenting data processes, controls, and findings concisely for internal stakeholders
- Establishing productive relationships with stakeholders, both cross-functional and external
- Effective collaboration on cross-team initiatives, utilizing relationships and resources to solve challenges
- Coordinating with partners from Data Platform, InfoSec, Product, and Engineering teams for streamlined operations
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or certifications in data analytics or governance beneficial
- 4–7 years of experience in data governance, management, quality, or analytics
- Hands-on experience in data quality and governance practices
- Proficiency in overseeing data classification, access controls, and external data inquiries
- Familiarity with data pipelines, analytical datasets, or reporting systems
- Experience with technical documentation in regulatory or banking environments
- Strong attention to detail concerning data governance processes and controls
- Ability to work autonomously and participate in team objectives
- Strong problem-solving skills within structured, detail-oriented spaces
