In this role, you will lead our Data I/O operations within a dynamic generative AI startup based in Santa Monica, Los Angeles. Working under the guidance of the Senior Director of Production Pipeline, you will oversee the efficient and secure transfer of assets for localization and foreign language dubbing across various projects, including feature films, episodic series, and commercial content. The key focus will be on maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of production assets while adhering to industry-standard TPN protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the Data I/O team to ensure secure transfer of footage with clients and partners.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data transfer processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with different teams to uphold TPN Protocols and security standards.
- Oversee data transfer operations hands-on in the initial stages and provide leadership for team scaling.
- Coordinate with various technical teams to optimize operational workflows.
- Build and manage a small team, ensuring adequate coverage through shift-based scheduling as necessary.
- Stay updated on data transfer tools like Aspera & Media Shuttle and production tracking tools like Shotgrid.
- Engage with science and product teams to align data transfer processes with the company's objectives.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in feature film, episodic, animation, VFX, or post-production, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Proficient in the technical aspects of data transfer in a post-production environment.
- Familiarity with TPN Protocols for secure file sharing.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in developing I/O pipelines and working with engineering & development teams.
- Knowledge of python coding is a plus.
Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year.
