Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Fin Crime & Compliance team to enhance work efficiency and reduce compliance risks.
- Analyze data and transform statistical insights into actionable strategies for improved operational efficiency.
- Take the lead in creating, upholding, and defining specific compliance systems, such as AML detection engines.
- Support the maintenance of current production models, handle audit requests including QA testing, and lead continuous improvement endeavors.
- Identify new opportunities for business enhancement, and manage the end-to-end development process from proof of concept to production deployment.
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a quantitative field; a PhD would be advantageous.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist in industries like financial technology, banking/insurance, or general tech, especially with exposure in anomaly detection or compliance risk sectors.
- Have proficiency in python, SQL, and a track record of building and maintaining ML models in production using AWS tools.
- Display a pragmatic mindset, be open to handling ad-hoc data analysis requests, and proficient in shepherding product development from start to finish.
- Maintain knowledge of cutting-edge technology internationally, be adept at reading and applying research from English engineering conferences and journals.
