Position Overview:
The DeFi Researcher Internship is a remote opportunity suitable for candidates residing in Hong Kong during term time. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on cutting-edge DeFi ecosystems, utilizing quantitative analysis to uncover emerging trends.
- Investigate decentralized protocols to pinpoint strategic opportunities and develop and implement quantitative trading strategies.
- Create tools for monitoring and analyzing trading system performance and evaluating market conditions.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a quantitative or computing degree with a focus on research, preferably at the postgraduate level (PhD/Masters).
- Deep interest in blockchain and cryptocurrency, actively engaging with Web3 communities.
- Proven ability to conduct independent research with a strong analytical mindset.
- Proficiency in Python and Solidity, with experience in web3-related libraries and smart contract development.
- Strong quantitative skills and a dedication to upholding professional standards in the field.
- Minimum of a 3-month internship or full-time role at a proprietary trading firm or hedge fund as a Quantitative Researcher/Trader, with previous involvement in alpha-related projects (excluding school projects or data analyst experience).
